Janeicia Neely is currently a professional basketball player for Geneve Elite Basket in Geneva, Switzerland and former professional player for Sport Lisboa Benfica in Lisbon, Portugal.
Collegiately, Janeicia represented Loyola University of New Orleans Women’s Basketball team as the captain starting point guard. While at Loyola, Janeicia led her team to an Elite 8 appearance at the 2014 NAIA National Tournament. In her final year, Janeicia led her team to win the Southern States Athletic Conference Championship for the first time in Loyola’s history. She was awarded the NAIA SSAC Tournament MVP for her performance.
Over the last 14 years, basketball has provided the opportunity to live internationally, meet new and interesting people all over the world, and learn to work and thrive in a team environment. It’s provided a solid foundation for learning to adapt to any situation and positively respond. These lessons will remain be valuable and she will continue to use them in every pursuit.
